Questions to ask before booking pest control in Lagos

A pest-control quote is easier to compare when you know what it covers. Use these questions to agree on the work before you book.

“Pest control, ₦15k” tells you the price. It does not tell you which pests the service covers, how many rooms are included or whether another visit is part of the agreement. Get those details before choosing a vendor.

Describe the problem clearly

Tell the vendor what you have noticed, which rooms are affected and your area in Lagos. If you are unsure which pest it is, say so. A photo can help explain the problem, but ask whether an inspection is needed before the vendor confirms the work.

Ask what the quote includes

  • Which pests does this service cover?
  • How many rooms or areas are included?
  • Does the price include transport to my area?
  • Is an inspection included, or charged separately?
  • Is there a follow-up visit? If so, when and at what cost?

Get preparation instructions before the visit

Ask the provider for written preparation and re-entry instructions for the treatment they plan to use. Tell them if children or pets use the space. Do not assume one provider's instructions apply to every treatment.

Confirm the full amount in writing

If you negotiate a lower price, ask the vendor to restate both the final amount and the work it covers. “₦10k agreed” can still leave room for a disagreement if transport or a follow-up visit was not discussed.

Use the chat to clear up the details

On Needplug, describe the service and your Lagos area, then ask questions when a vendor responds. Keep the agreed scope and price in the conversation before requesting their contact. Payment and the visit are arranged directly with the vendor. An identity check does not guarantee the quality of a treatment.
